Top Attractions in Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is the fourth and final park of Walt Disney World. Although there are literally TONS of things to do it has gotten the reputation as a "half-day" park. Even we have fallen victims of stay a half day here and not taking advantage of everything that could be done here. We would recommend that you attempt to take full advantage of making the most of Animal Kingdom. Also, be on the lookout for additions to this park, such as River of Lights, which will make this truly a full day park. Here are our top attractions in Animal Kingdom!

1. Expedition Everest
This ride is one of C & K's favorites on Disney World property. Expedition Everest takes you on a journey from the bottom of Mount Everest to the very tip top and straight back down. Along the way you hear the story of the Yeti! There are tips and tricks of how to stay alive right before you get on the train to the top. Although this trip looks safe, you might want to pay attention and not run into the monster!

2. Kilimanjaro Safaris
If you are animal lovers like we are the Kilimanjaro Safaris is a great way to see wonderful wildlife. This ride takes place in a vehicle driven by a cast member. Most of the cast members that drive these vehicles are very good at spotting animals. We would have missed many of them if our cast members were not experts on spotting these animals! Make sure that you have your camera ready! You never know how close you are going to get to some of these amazing creatures!

3. Festival of the Lion King
The Festival of the Lion King is one of the best things you will do at Walt Disney World. This is a live stage show that represents the story of Disney's Lion King. This show has song and dance to portray a African tribal celebration. You will hear some of the greatest voices ever. Sadly, the last time C & K were at Disney World, this attraction was not playing, but it is now back in action! If you are going to Disney World soon, make sure you enter the Savannah and celebrate The Lion King!

4. Kali River Rapids

If you are looking to cool off on a hot summer day in Florida, you have came to the right place! Kali River Rapids is a rafting themed expedition in Asia. This takes you through the story of a forest that is slowing being torn down and you are trapped with no way to get out of the river! Twists and turns are everywhere and you never know who is going to get hit with the big splash! There are 12 seats on this ride so make sure to have fun with the other visitors you are riding with!

5. Finding Nemo-The Musical
This stage shows is very comparable to our other show The Festival of the Lion King. This attraction takes you on a journey through the sea with Nemo and his friends. With great puppetry and amazing singing, you will see the story of Finding Nemo with a Broadway twist. This is a must see for any Finding Nemo fan or fan of great music!
